Founder and marquetry maker, Evan is the originator of the workshop. A creative spirit, he enjoys playing with subtlety in his creations. Evan loves to challenge himself and does not shy away from any obstacle; he will find a solution to bring his ideas to life.

Pangea is the name of the original single continent, which later fragmented into our 6 continents. This name refers to the wood species coming from the four corners of the Earth that we bring together in our works.

Atypical and almost unexpected.
Following a general education path, it was after our high school diploma that we turned to woodworking professions. We headed towards a NVQ in cabinetmaking at the Lycée des Métiers d'Art of Saint-Quentin (France) while many of our teachers did not understand why we were not pursuing higher education.
After both discovering and appreciating cabinetmaking, Evan discovers the marquetry in 2021 through a NVQ. However, he aspires to something entirely different at that moment and changes direction: climbing. He then stops his training halfway through the year to pursue his new passion. Meanwhile, Zoé continues in cabinetmaking with a "DNMAde", a 3-year degree in cabinetmaking and design during which she learns many skills.
In 2023, Evan decides to return to marquetry training, a discipline that had marked him, and in which he thrives and finds his professional path. The following year, after graduating, Zoé also embarks on this specialty. Marquetry after marquetry, she discovers a true passion.
During our respective training, we participate in the "MAF" competition. This enriching experience will take a somewhat unexpected turn as Evan wins the gold medal nationally in 2024. Motivated by this victory, Zoé decides to participate in turn. Upon the announcement of the results: a national gold medal also. As a bonus, during the regional medal presentation, it is Evan, a former gold medalist, who presents it to her in person.
This award reinforced our idea of creating our own workshop.
In October 2025, we join the collective of artisans SQart in Saint-Quentin (France), which allows us to launch our activity. And there it is, the workshop Pangea is born!
